Founder of the Good Morning Campaign and an International Prefect at Macleans College, Auckland — building inclusive morning communities, one good morning at a time.
Arthur Fang is the founder of the Good Morning Campaign, a student-led wellbeing initiative he started at Macleans College in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2024. What began as a personal ritual at the school gates has grown into a structured campaign with student volunteers, consent-based activities, and real community impact.
The idea was shaped by Arthur's own experience moving between schools in several countries. At school in Singapore, he saw teachers greet students by name each morning with a high five — a small ritual that made arriving feel like belonging. Knowing first-hand how hard it is to adjust to a new place, he set out to build that same sense of welcome for others, designing the mornings so that everyone — outgoing or quiet — could take part.
The campaign was profiled by the New Zealand Education Gazette in 2026, and the work contributed to Arthur becoming an International Prefect and peer support leader at Macleans College. Beyond the campaign, he was a top-10 finalist in Onscreen 2025, the nationwide music-and-film competition for New Zealand high-school students.
