Māori culture-inspired. Given to students who show up for their community in the morning.
The koru symbolises growth, new life, and creation — the same values the Good Morning Campaign shows up for each morning.
The Koru pattern symbolises growth, new life, and creation. The outer coil represents continuous movement and the cycle of life, while the inner part represents returning to the point of origin — coming back to why you started.
The koru is one of Aotearoa's most enduring symbols of new beginnings. Each morning is a new beginning. The campaign is there to meet students at that beginning — before the day has set in, before anything has gone wrong.
It is also a symbol of peace — and the Good Morning Campaign aims for these same values: to create a peaceful, inclusive community among students in the morning. The patterns were reviewed and approved by Local Iwi.
The design is placed on the sleeve because the sleeve is where the arm is — representing the ongoing action of creating inclusive community and belonging. Not displayed on the chest. Carried on the arm, where things get done.
The sleeve is where movement originates. Placing the koru there is deliberate — it honours the ongoing act at the heart of the campaign: reaching out, creating connection, and building community. Not on the chest, where things are displayed. On the arm, where things are done.
In the morning, a student in this hoodie stands at the school gates holding the space open for everyone else. The koru on the sleeve marks that act for what it is: a small, daily, meaningful contribution to something larger than any single morning.
The merchandise is not for sale. Items are distributed at the lolly stand to students participating in the campaign.
Our Māori culture-inspired merchandise is given to students participating in the campaign. The patterns represent the mission and values of the Good Morning Campaign — reviewed and approved by Local Iwi before production.

We are actively exploring responsible expansion to new school sites. If you represent a school in Auckland and are interested in piloting the programme, we would love to hear from you.
